The province’s online hub for all things highways received over 60 million visits throughout the last year, a new record for Highway Hotline.

Between April 2024 and March 2025, the Hotline website had over 40 million pageviews, while the mobile app garnered over 20 million more.

The province attributes this jump in visits to the fact that there were more storms this winter than in previous years. For example, 2023-24 showed a total of 13 million views overall.

Over 50 years ago, the service was simply a phone line answered by staff, but it has since evolved to include the latest version of the Highway Hotline mobile app which can be downloaded for free.
