A 31-year-old man from Nipawin, SK, is facing multiple charges after pointing an imitation firearm at RCMP officers during a series of incidents on May 8, 2025.
The events began around 6:55 p.m. when RCMP responded to a break-and-enter at a local residence, where a male suspect, armed with a firearm, confronted a female before fleeing. Later that evening, officers located a stolen vehicle and attempted a traffic stop, but the vehicle fled. The suspect, Jewels Budd, was found shortly after, and he pointed an imitation firearm at officers before attempting to flee on foot. A paintball gun was seized at the scene.
Budd now faces several charges, including breaking and entering, theft, dangerous driving, and using an imitation firearm. He is scheduled to appear in court on May 12.
