Gas prices fell slightly last week in Saskatoon but remained stable across the province.
According to GasBuddy, average retail gasoline prices in Saskatoon fell 0.6 c/L in the past week, averaging 134.03 c/L as of Sunday. Nationally, gas prices increased 2.2 c/L in the last week to 135.90 c/L.
In Saskatoon, prices yesterday were 11.8 c/L lower than the same day one year ago and are 1.0 c/L lower than a month ago. The national average has increased 4.0 c/L during the last month and stands 28.8 c/L lower than this day one year ago.
Provincially, gas is at 133.38 c/L, the same as last week. Patrick de Haan, Head of Petroleum Analysis at GasBuddy, says “As we approach the Victoria Day long weekend, Canadians may see some localized fluctuations, but at the national level, I don’t expect significant movement in average prices for now.”
