The Saskatchewan Ministry of Health is warning the public of another spike in overdoses in the Saskatoon area.
An alert from the Ministry on Mondays stated the Saskatoon Fire Department has been called to 30 overdoses over the course of three days, including five on May 9th, eight on May 10th, and 17 on May 11.
The drug involved in these incidents is unknown, however multiple doses of naloxone and medical care had to be used.
Although this report is from SFD numbers, other agencies may be seeing more cases, as well. Recent testing indicates multiple substances are circulating in the community.
The SHA says this alert will remain in effect until May 19 at midnight.
