Two campgrounds in Saskatchewan are closed for the 2025 season. SaskParks reports on their webpage that Gem Lakes and Lost Echo Lake campgrounds are closed due to damage from wildfires.
The rest of Narrow Hills Provincial Park will remain temporarily closed until May 29th. Saskatchewan Provincial Parks says it is actively monitoring the situation and will advise if the closure is extended.

The Shoe Fire is estimated at 16,000 hectares and the Camp fire is almost 31 thousand hectares in size. Both fires have heavy equipment, air tanker and helicopter support.
