Saskatchewan Polytechnic held their second Jill of All Trades event today after 144 female students from all over the province registered to participate.
Allison Zerr is Program Head with Women in Trades and Technology (WITT) Powered by Orano and says the event is an exposure piece for the girls, who will hopefully leave with some new information after hands-on learning.
The girls who are in grades 9-12, are divided up into several groups where they get to learn about, and try out, different trades giving them an opportunity to see what options are out there, and what they may want to consider as a future career.
