Yesterday morning at 11:25 a.m., firefighters responded to a fully engulfed garage fire in the 700 block of 12th Street East, threatening a nearby house and adjacent structures.

Crews quickly launched a defensive attack, contained the flames to the garage, and brought the fire under control with no injuries reported. A fire investigator is currently on scene to determine the cause and assess the damage costs.
