SaskTel says due to prolonged power outages caused by the wildifres in Northern Saskatchewan, SaskTel Internet, Wireless, and Landline (Home Phone and Business Phone) services are not available in Deschambault Lake and Pelican Narrows.

In a news release SaskTel says those services will remain unavailable until commercial power is restored or until it is safe for SaskTel crews to bring generators and fuel to the impacted sites.

Infrastructure damaged by wildfire that impacted Brabant Lake, Sucker Lake, Southend, Key Lake, Cigar Lake, Collins Bay, Wollaston Lake, Black Lake, Stony Rapids, Sandy Bay, and Fond du Lac has been restored after SaskTel crews completed repairs. However, the Crown warns that further service outages could occur if more infrastructure is damaged.
