The Saskatoon Police Service Major Crimes detectives and the Forensic Identification Section are at the scene of a homicide.

Around 1:25 a.m. Monday police responded to a disturbance call in the 700 block of Weldon Avenue. When officers arrived the located a deceased 53-year-old woman.

A 32-ear old man was arrested at the scene.

Residents in Saskatoon’s King George neighbourhood can expect to see an increased police presence.

This is Saskatoon’s sixth homicide of 2025.
