The SaskTel Saskatchewan Jazz Festival has kicked off in Saskatoon. It’s the 38th annual with more than 70 performances from now until July 12.
Executive Director Shannon Josdal says the Broadway Theatre has been re-introduced as a venue this year. It will be hosting two shows July 8 and 9 featuring Joshua Redman Quartet and a Parisian-themed performance by the Saskatoon Jazz Orchestra and Saskatoon Symphony Orchestra.
The Neighbourhood pop up series will feature all Saskatchewan artists performing pop up concerts across the Brighton, Downtown, Riversdale and Broadway areas. However, Victoria Park remains the hub of the festival. Information, tickets and day passes can be found here.
