The Prince Albert Police Service were assisted by The National Weapons Enforcement Support Team in an investigation of a string of break and enters to a firearms business in Prince Albert. On June 25, 2025, police were called to a business in the 100 block of 14th Street East after an attempted break and enter was reported and that’s when police learned other attempts to gain access to the building were made a few days prior.
The Canine Unit was brought in a few days after for another report of an attempted break and enter at the same business, but no one was located inside. On July 1st police responded with the Canine Unit again to the business where the suspect allegedly fled with firearm scopes. On July 4th, police responded to another report of a break and enter at the same address and an adult male suspect was arrested.
A stash of firearms, CO2 firearms, ammunition, and an assortment of firearm attachments were located during a further search of the building.
A 26-year-old man has been charged with break and enter with intent, possession of unregistered restricted weapons (x2), breaking and entering with intent to steal a firearm (x2), possession of restricted firearms for the purpose of trafficking, and possession of non-restricted firearms for the purpose of trafficking.
