There was a public measles exposure risk in Rosthern on Wednesday, July 9th. The Saskatchewan Health Authority says the risk is for anyone who was at Rosthern Gas Plus from 6:45 to 9:15 a.m. This is because of confirmed measles cases. Call HealthLine 811 if you were exposed and are unvaccinated, unsure of your vaccination status for measles or if you develop measles symptoms. This includes fever, cough, runny nose, red eyes and fatigue. The symptoms may also include irritability, small white spots inside the mouth and throat, and a red blotchy rash on the face which then spreads down the body about three to seven days after other symptoms begin.
If you are symptomatic, the SHA advises not to go to a clinic. Call the HealthLine for information and instructions.
