Parks Canada has issued a Wildfire Emergency Advisory Alert for Prince Albert National Park.

The alert comes as the Buhl Wildfire has the potential to cause emergency situations for the public such as poor air quality and loss of visibility.

The Buhl Fire was 40 kilometres from the townsite of Waskesiu as of 6:00 p.m. Sunday.

There are currently 54 wildfires burning in the province, with just five of them listed as contained.
