Saskatoon Police have arrested one 23-year-old man following an evade-police incident.
On Sunday just before 1:00 a.m., police attempted to conduct a traffic stop on a vehicle in the area of Idylwyld Drive North and 39th Street when it sped away.
Officers observed the vehicle continuing north on Highway 12 out of Saskatoon. Further investigation determined that the driver of the vehicle was unlawfully at large.
The vehicle re-entered the city on Highway 16 and a tire deflation device was used on Beam Road. The man fled from the vehicle on foot but was arrested a short distance away. He was in possession of bear spray, a knife, and suspected crystal meth according to police.
