RCMP have arrested and charged two people after a shooting in Cumberland House.
On January 22 at 8:00 a.m., RCMP received a report of an injured man at a business in Cumberland House. Police and EMS arrived to find a male with serious gunshot wounds. He was taken to hospital by EMS.
Through investigation, officers learned two men with firearms broke into a home where an altercation occurred, and one of them was shot by a third man who was inside the home.
The pair who broken into the home fled, with the injured male taking shelter in a business.
Around 1:40 p.m., the male remaining in the home exited and was arrested without incident. Two other individuals exited the home, as well. One was arrested on separate charges and the other was released without charge.
Now, 29-year-old Preston Crane and 20-year-old Jaidyne Lalibertey from Cumberland House were arrested.
The investigation continues.
