An 18 month human trafficking investigation in Western Canada with strong ties to Saskatchewan has resulted in charges but police still need to apprehend the suspects.
Billy Glenold-Fleury, 31 years old, 32 year old Bechir Ben Salah, 33 year old Mali Jean, and 30 year old Kenny Jouthe are each charged with Trafficking Persons, Material Benefit from Trafficking in Persons, Witholding or Destroying Identity Documents, and charges relating to details of a Criminal Organization.
Police say details around the charges will come out in court but right now the RCMP are asking anyone with information on the whereabouts of the four individuals to contact their local police service, RCMP Detachment or Crime stoppers. You’ll find photographs of the suspects in our online story.
Billy Glenold-Fleury, Mali Jean, Kenny Jouthe and Bechir Ben Salah all have ties to Saskatchewan, Quebec, Alberta and British Columbia. The RCMP say there are many different facets of human trafficking and the most commonly known is sex trafficking which is different from the charges laid to date in this investigation.
Inspector Andrew Farquhar, Officer in Charge of RCMP FSOC says, “Investigators also believe there may be other victims who have not been identified during the course of the investigation who are urged to come forward if they require any assistance.”
