On Saturday around 9:30 p.m. police responded after a taxi driver was stiffed of their fare at gunpoint.
Police say a man had been dropped off by a taxi in the 3500 block of 8th Street East after a suspect allegedly refused to pay for the ride and when confronted, pulled a handgun from a bag.
The suspect was seen entering a nearby yard in the 100 block of Leland Terrace.
The Saskatoon Police Service Canine Unit attended the scene and confirmed the suspect had gone inside and had not left. At 9:45 p.m. patrol officers safely made an arrest inside the home. A replica CO2 handgun was also seized.
